Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging of Texas (V-dit) was founded in 2005 by Dr. Christopher Kunze. The mission of V-dit is to provide the highest quality diagnostic imaging services to central Texas veterinarians.

Dr. Kunze received his DVM from Kansas State University in 2000. Upon completion of a one-year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Virginia Tech University, he was accepted as a diagnostic imaging resident at Texas A&M University. In 2004, Dr. Kunze finished his residency training and passed the American College of Veterinary Radiology’s board-certifying oral and written examinations required to qualify as a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology (DAVCR).

Dr. Kunze moved to Austin, becoming the first board-certified radiologists to provide full-time imaging services to the central Texas area. V-dit provides mobile ultrasound examinations, radiographic consultations, continuing education for veterinarians, special procedures and ultrasound-guided aspiration/biopsy services. Dr. Kunze is also licensed to perform radioiodine therapy for feline hyperthyroidism. Radioiodine therapy and computed tomography (CT or CAT scan) are performed in conjunction with the doctors at Capitol Area Veterinary Specialists/Texas Veterinary Oncology.

In his free time, Dr. Kunze stays busy enjoying the Austin area with this wife and young son. The family can often be found trying to avoid sunburns while boating on area lakes.
